This disease treats us all equally, perhaps we should to. If you don’t believe me, just ask Tom Hanks.它提示我们，人人生来平等，无论我们的文化、宗教、职业、经济状况差距有多大，声望再大也无济于事。这个疾病平等对待我们每一位，也许本来就应该如此。如果你不相信我的话，去问汤姆·汉克斯。2) It is reminding us that we are all connected and something that affects one person has an effect on another. It is reminding us that the false borders that we have put up have little value as this virus does not need a passport. It is reminding us, by oppressing us for a short time, of those in this world whose whole life is spent in oppression.它提示我们，我们唇齿相依，影响一个人的事物会对另外一个人产生影响。国与国之间的边界没有任何价值，因为这种病毒不需要护照。它还提示我们，我们因病毒影响，暂时过着受压抑的生活，但是世界上有的人一辈子都是过着这样压抑的日子。3) It is reminding us of how precious our health is and how we have moved to neglect it through eating nutrient poor manufactured food and drinking water that is contaminated with chemicals upon chemicals. If we don’t look after our health, we will, of course, get sick.它提示我们：我们的身体健康多么宝贵，我们却忽略了它的重要性。吃那些营养不良的人造食品，喝那些被化工重复污染的水源，我们当然会生 病。4) It is reminding us of the shortness of life and of what is most important for us to do, which is to help each other, especially those who are old or sick. We can choose to cooperate and help each other, to share, to give, to help and to support each other or we can choose to be selfish, to hoard, to look after only our self. Indeed, it is difficulties that bring out our true colors.它提示我们，我们自己拥有意志掌控大权。我们可以选择互相帮助、合作、给予、奉献和支持，也可以选择自私自利，囤积居奇和我行我素。患难见真情，正是苦难使我们看清了自己的面目。10) It is reminding us that we can be patient, or we can panic. We can either understand that this type of situation has happened many times before in history and will pass, or we can panic and see it as the end of the world and, consequently, cause ourselves more harm than good.它提示我们，我们也许会耐心对待，也许会惊慌失措。类似情况历史演绎多次，灾难终将过去。如果我们把它视为世界末日的话，精神意识上造成的灾难会比物质食品匮乏造成的灾难更糟糕。11) It is reminding us that this can either be an end or a new beginning. This can be a time of reflection and understanding, where we learn from our mistakes, or it can be the start of a cycle which will continue until we finally learn the lesson we are meant to.它提示我们，疫情也许是过去的终结也许是新生事物的起航，这是反思和理解的时刻。我们要从错误中吸取教训，这个大循环也许会持续直到人类吸取它的教训。12) It is reminding us that this Earth is sick. It is reminding us that we need to look at the rate of deforestation just as urgently as we look at the speed at which toilet rolls are disappearing off of shelves. Life is cyclical, and this is just a phase in this great cycle. We do not need to panic; this too shall pass.它提示我们，困难总是会解决的。生命是一个循环，这只是大循环中的一个阶段。我们不需要惊慌失措， 这一切都会成为过去。14) Whereas many see the Corona/ Covid-19 virus as a great disaster, I prefer to see it as a “great corrector”.当很多人把新冠视为一场大危机的时候，我宁愿意把它视为“巨型更正”的良机。It is sent to remind us of the important lessons that we seem to have forgotten and it is up to us if we will learn them or not.它是创世者给我们人类很重要的教训，我们似乎早已忘却，人类能不能吸取这次教训，全靠我们自己了。
